Family portraits with the Mangeac's!

Family photo session at Lake Lowell in Idaho.

Fun shoot out at Lake Lowell in Nampa Idaho with the Mangeac’s. Getting the best results isn’t always an easy task. Here are some things to keep in mind…

Get Ready for a Perfect Family Photo Shoot

Family photo shoots are a great way to capture memories that you can cherish forever. But with so many things to consider, it's easy to get overwhelmed when planning your family photo shoot. That’s why we’ve put together some tips to help make your family photo shoot perfect!

Picking the Right Outfits

One of the most important elements of any family photo shoot is the clothing. You want all of your family members to look their best, but you also want them to feel comfortable in what they're wearing. When picking out outfits, opt for pieces that will flatter everybody without being too distracting or busy. A good rule of thumb is to pick out a color palette and then let each member choose one piece that fits into that palette—this allows everyone's individual style and personality to shine through while still creating a cohesive look overall.

Finding the Right Location

Location can really make or break your photos, so it's important to find somewhere special for your photoshoot! If you don't have any ideas, do some research online and see if there are any parks or outdoor locations near you with interesting features like statues, flower gardens, or bodies of water. Once you've found the perfect spot for your shoot, make sure everyone knows where it is by sending them directions in advance. Also be sure to check the weather beforehand; you don't want rain ruining all of your hard work!

Letting Kids Be Kids

Kids can be unpredictable during shoots—which can sometimes lead to beautiful photos if you know how to keep them entertained! Bring along some toys or games that they enjoy playing with so they don't get bored while posing for pictures. You can also take breaks between shots so they can go off and explore their surroundings or just run around and play a little bit; this way they'll be happy and energized when it comes time for more photos! Lastly, don’t forget snacks - kids love treats and rewards after a job well done!

Print Your Session

The final step is picking the right images to print. What’s more fun than seeing the family displayed on the wall at home. That’s why with every family session I provide a free 16x20 print! Images from the session are all online and ready for download within a week of the shoot. And you can share the link for other family members to view and order their own prints.

With these tips in mind, you'll be well on your way towards having a successful family photo shoot experience! Just remember: pick out outfits that flatter everyone without being too distracting; find an interesting location; and let kids be kids by bringing along toys and snacks. By following these three simple steps, you'll ensure that you have plenty of beautiful photos for years to come!
